James McDowell - Sponsorship Coordinator

James completed a degree in economics and management at Rhodes and moved to London in 2006 where he has worked in the financial sector since then.

Born at Mbuya Nehanda Maternity Home in Harare and having had the privilege of growing up in Zimbabwe, James has a strong desire to help improve the welfare of fellow Zimbabweans, especially the children, where possible. James has found the best opportunity to do this in Vimba, and he became a trustee during 2010. He intends to use his great people and communication skills to generate extra sponsorship for our charity.

"Growing up in Zim was an amazing experience and it is such a tragedy watching what is happening to the country and it's people today. Working with Vimba is a way for me to help give back to our country and it's people where possible."
