Vimba Golf day - 10th September 2011
Friday, August 19, 2011 at 10:13AM Vimba’s annual Golf Day was our most successful yet. At Addington Court Golf Course on the 10th September keen golfers arrived and prepared for tee-off. Seven four balls and a three-ball took part, teeing off throughout the sunny morning. Players consisted of friends and colleagues of Vimba supporters, regular enthusiasts, and a corporate four-ball from 36 South. New hobbies were discovered, great golf was played, and lots of laughter trailed the golf course.
Golfers were served refreshments by the mobile Vimba team with a well-stocked golf cart. Players returned to the club house during the afternoon and appreciated their well-earned drinks and a hearty two-course meal. Prize giving encompassed a range of rewards – from ‘best four-ball’ and ‘longest drive’, to prizes for most bunker shots, ‘most golf’ and ‘most spirited four-ball’. Players eagerly accepted and celebrated their winnings.
An extremely successful auction took place where particular parts of the proposed borehole for Dewe School were auctioned off. Every guest donated to this great cause and their donations were amazing matched by 36 South! We raised an unexpectedly significant amount and would like to say thank you to all our incredible golfers and our remarkably generous corporate team who made the day an enjoyable and successful event.

Many thanks to our sponsors and corporates for the event, especially 36 South.
